Charles “Chuck” E. Brooks, 77, of Sawyer, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, in the Garrison Memorial Hospital, after being transported from the Benedictine Living Community – Garrison due to health complications.

Chuck was born on December 8, 1945, in Concordia, KS where he graduated from Concordia High School in 1963. The day after graduation, Chuck enlisted in the U.S Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1966. Following discharge, He came to Sawyer, ND with a harvesting crew where he met Judy Smith. They married on April 6th, 1973, and recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary. Chuck worked for Basin Electric for many years up until retirement. He will always be remembered as hard working, loving, caring and generous.

Visitation: 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

Funeral: 10 a.m. on Monday, October 9th, 2023, at Thomas Family Funeral Home.

Interment: 3 p.m. on Monday, October 9th, 2023, at Mandan ND Veteran’s Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the family.
