Robert Inman, 84, Berthold, ND, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in his home.

Robert “Bob” Glen Inman was born January 18, 1939, the son of Glen and Esther (Uerlings) Inman, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He was raised and educated in Oregon, graduating from South Salem High in 1957.

He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1958. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged in 1962.

Bob married Sharon Bredahl on June 15, 1963, in Salem, Oregon. From this union, two daughters, Alechia and Mechell, were born. They later divorced but remained friends.

Bob had two big endeavors in his life. The first was building and owning the Bridge Bakery in Newport, Oregon. He was a wonderful baker and an amazing cake decorator.

Bob married Delores Laumb on December 18, 1976. They made their home in Kenmare. Bob’s second biggest endeavor was being the owner and operator of the International-Ford Dealership in Kenmare, ND. He had this business for over 10 years and made many friends along the way.

He sold his business in the fall of 1984, it was then that Bob and Delores moved back to Oregon. They returned to North Dakota in December of 1997, and made their home in Berthold, with their son, Blake. Delores passed away October 19, 2010.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served on the church council, Eagles, Elks, Moose, American Legion, Berthold City Council, Berthold Economic Development, Berthold Planning and Zoning, the Berthold Ecumenical Council, and Berthold Housing Board.

Bob enjoyed woodworking, gun collecting, rock polishing, and gambling. He had a passion for remodeling houses! Over his lifetime he owned and remodeled 25 homes. He also helped numerous friends and family with remodeling projects and painting. He also enjoyed the gun show with his son-in-law, Tracy, every year. He would have it marked on his calendar and count down the days. He also eagerly looked forward to the Sportsman’s Banquet every January.

Oregon was his home and he loved the coast and sitting in the sand just watching the ocean. His last trip back to the coast was August 2017. Bob was a giving person who had a heart of gold. He would try to help anyone who asked. He will be truly missed.

His loving family includes: children, Alechia (Tracy) Neubauer, Berthold, Mechell Holien, Grano, Blake (Danae) Inman, rural Berthold; Rita Hamsher, Berthold, Linda Martin, Minot; grandchildren, Shelbe Neubauer, Ryder Holien, Owen Inman, Sawyer Neubauer, Emma Inman, Autumn Inman, Sariaha Hill, Amanda Peterson, Matthew Martin, Emmy Handeland, Brittany George, Krystal Burgess, Katherine Pedrick, Morgan Hamsher; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 33 years, Delores; brother, Rodney Inman; sister-in-law, Joanne Inman; daughters, Debbie Ramsdell and Sherry Hill; son, Randy Ramsdell; granddaughters, Reiny Inman and Liahona Corbett; grandsons, Robert Gaskins and Michael Martin.

Funeral: Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Berthold Baptist Church, Berthold.

Interment: Wildrose Cemetery, Berthold, ND.

Visitation: Monday from 6-7 p.m. at Berthold Baptist Church, Berthold.

Prayer Service: Monday at 7 p.m. at Berthold Baptist Church, Berthold.
