Mark Anhorn, 57, Minot, ND, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in his home.
Mark Raymond Anhorn was born April 25, 1966, the son of Raymond and Betty Lou (Trulson) Anhorn, in Minot, ND. He was baptized at Augustana Lutheran Church June 5, 1966. As a child he attended Sunday School and was confirmed March 30, 1980. He was educated in Minot, attending Minot High School.
Mark held many jobs over the years. Working at Chances R, Tropical Fish World, and Stein’s. He then founded, owned, and operated Carpet Patrol where he did carpet cleaning and auto detailing. Most recently he worked at the Capri Bar.
He has always had a love for animals. He will be dearly missed by his beloved dogs, Buttons “Ghe,” Inka, Angel, and Carlton.
He was a very adventurous and care-free person. He always wanted to show people a good time and he was often the life of the party. He was spontaneous and was always willing to try new things. He was confident in who he was and marched to the beat of his own drum. Mark loved his family and friends. He was soft-hearted. There was not a person he met that didn’t become his friend. He had a heart of gold and he would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. You could depend on him for anything.
His loving family includes: sister, Bonnie (Mike) Riely; sister-in-law, Linda Anhorn; nieces, Tabbitha (Cody) Smith, Lindsey (Brandon) Brossart; nephew, Travis Anhorn; great-nieces and nephews, Cameron Klein, Jade Anderson, Kaydee Klein, Kimber Brossart, Layla Brossart, Barrett Brossart; goddaughter, Allyn Newbury; and his many close friends at the Capri Bar.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Deborah “Debbie” Anhorn; brother, Bruce Anhorn; and nephew, Troy Anhorn.
Memorial Service: Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND.
Visitation: Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
