Marjorie Barbara Pullen peacefully passed away August 15, 2023 in Bismarck, North Dakota at the gifted age of 92.

Marjorie was born to Thoralf and Cecilia (Ackerman) Thompson in Kenmare, North Dakota on August 30, 1931. Marjorie and her six siblings were raised on the family farm in Coulee, North Dakota where she grew a love for animals, especially horses and dogs. Marjorie enjoyed helping her father at his gas station in Coulee. Gas was 12 cents a gallon – Diesel was 19 cents a gallon. Marjorie graduated from Kenmare High School in 1949. Marjorie married the love of her life. Delwin Pullen, on February 17, 1950. Together they farmed and raised 5 sons and 1 daughter. Delwin passed away in 1993.

Marjorie had a love for her farm life, playing the piano, country music, dancing, a well done piece of toast with a fresh cup of coffee, watching Days of Our Lives, and she rarely missed an episode of The Wheel of Fortune. Her laughter was contagious – she will be greatly missed by many.

Marjorie is survived by her sons: Dennis (Cindy) Pelican Rapids, MN, James (Mary) Chamberlain, SD, Eldon (Shelley) Kenmare, ND, Thomas (Barb) Kenmare, ND, her only daughter Holly (Dennis) Engeberg, Kenmare, ND.

Marjorie is also survived by her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Alicia (Mike) Flatin and their sons Hudson and Jack, Brooke (Chris) Berg and children Stella and Hank, Lindsay (Christian) Casey and children Gavin, Brodie, Chloe, JT (Stacy) Pullen and children Taylor (Tyson) Fleury, Emily and Ava, Nikki Pullen, Nathan Pullen, Cherisse (Dustin) Burns and Taya, Blake Pullen, Samantha Pullen, Matt (Vanessa) Pullen and Hayden, Erica (James) Johnson and children Niko and Max, Jason (Kassandra) Engeberg and Etta, Christopher Pullen, along with many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Eldon and Florence Pullen; her husband Delwin, son Delwin Jr, grandson Michael Engeberg, brothers: Donald (Donny), Sylvester (Sonny) and her sisters: Elizabeth, Kathleen, Priscilla and Patricia.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 30th at 11:00 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Minot.
