Jackie was born August 25, 1944, in Minot, ND to Royal and Marvel (Butterfield) Kempf. Growing up Jackie lived in Tolley, McClusky and in Velva. Jackie graduated from Velva High School in 1962.
Jackie married William Delbert Krumwiede in Elizabeth City, NC April 24, 1963. They had two sons, Tim, and Bill.
Jackie attended Minot State College. She volunteered for many years at the Velva Ambulance.
She also worked in the kitchen at the Souris Valley Care Center.
When Central Power closed, Bill was transferred to the Antelope Valley Station near Beulah. Jackie and Bill made their home in Hazen. Jackie upon moving to the Hazen area worked for years as the Ambulance coordinator for Mercer County. Jackie loved animals. She had a lot of dogs and cats over the years, many of whom were called either Daisy or Snookie. They were family! They even had a cat wake them when a fire started in the lower part of their home in Hazen. Jackie also loved to spoil her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews as much as she could. Jackie in her spare time loved to quilt, crochet, knit, cross stitch, and garden. Tim remembers lying on the floor pushing the needle back through the blanket as she was quilting. She made many blankets, sweaters, and other items for loved ones. Jackie also built a Barbie house and sewed intricate Barbie clothes for her granddaughters. Jackie loved to read! It became hard for her in later years so you could find her with her iPad listening to a book.
Jackie and Bill moved from Hazen to the Krumwiede family farm in Voltaire. They also enjoyed some winters in Arizona.
