Annella Miller, 86, died Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Trinity Health.

Annella (Smette) Miller was the first born to Oscar and Leatha (Bell) Smette on May 25, 1937; in a log house, near the Mouse River, by Bantry, ND. From there, she lived in the Upham area and later moved to Deering, where she graduated and was married to Raymond Miller on November 5, 1955, in Deering.

They continued living near and eventually took over the Miller farm. She did the bookwork for the farm and for the bulk dealership that she and Raymond operated.

She served as Sunday School Superintendent and was on the church council at the Deering Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, writing poetry, snowmobile racing and working on Genealogy of her family.

Close to her heart were her children, grandchildren, siblings, and their children. She loved a good conversation over a cup of coffee. She loved baking for the Holidays. She loved those that took care of her over the final year of her life and for that, we are truly grateful.

Her loving family includes: daughter, Cindy (Tim) Anderson, Granville; son, Jerry (Dana) Miller, Deering; grandchildren, Nicole (Erik) Espeseth, Dylan (Sara) Anderson, Toniel (Chris) Beebe, Jory Miller, Kali (Isaac) Tafelmeyer, Shaylee Miller; great-grandchildren, Collin and Carter Espeseth, Kameron, Ava, and Lola Anderson, Cash and Jace Beebe, McKie and Meelah Anderson, Archie and Scarlett Tafelmeyer. Siblings include sisters, Delila Miller, Donna Grilley, and Debbie (Gary) Stratton; brother, Douglas (Charlotte) Smette; sister-in-law, Linda Smette; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Myron Smette; brother-in-laws, Ken Grilley and Raymond J Miller; nephew, Keith Smette; niece, Renae Miller; granddaughter, Lindsey Anderson.

Funeral: Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot.

Interment: Deering Cemetery, Deering, ND.

Visitation: Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to Deering Lutheran Church.
