Thomas McIlroy, 58, Bismarck, ND, formerly of Minot, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Thomas McIlroy was born August 13, 1964, the son of Carl and Peggy (O’Connell) McIlroy, in Minot. He was raised and educated in Glenburn. After high school, Tom went to school to be a diesel mechanic. He was very gifted and could fix anything. Later he moved to Minot and worked at Dakota Terrace Apartments.

His loving family includes:

father, Carl McIlroy; sister, Nancy (Kirk) Johnson; nephews, Micah and Joshua; aunts, Joyce Dupay, Mary Ann Zwinger; uncles, Larry (Debbie) O’Connell, David (Ann) O’Connell, Gary (Jan) O’Connell, Dean (Linda) McIlroy; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy McIlroy; brother Dennis McIlroy; Joyce McGlenn, Scott McGlenn, Jean Paulson, Nell and Dean McIlroy, Mike Dupay, Duane Zwinger, Paul O’Connell, and Anadine O’Connell.
