Dharold Myers, 78, Minot, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023, in his home.

Dharold was born June 22, 1945, the son of William and Magdalen (Ehli) Myers, in Harvey. He would grow up on a farm in Kief, graduating from Drake High School in 1963.

He enlisted in the United States Army in 1964 after high school. He proudly served his country as he was stationed in Alaska. He was honorably discharged in 1966. Later, he was a member of the American Legion.

In 1967, Dharold would marry Kathleen Kraft-Flatlie in Drake. They would reside in Minot, eventually move to Blanchard, Louisiana, then move back to Williston for around seven years. While in Williston, in 1976, Dharold would continue his education at UND Williston Center where he would graduate with an Associate Degree in Agri-Business. Finally, in 1978, they would move back to Minot.

Throughout the years, Dharold would work in many different roles. While in Louisiana and Williston he worked for Westland Oil Company. Following that, he worked as self-employed contracting to many companies including; Solar Dakota, D&K Sales and Service, Northern Marble Company, Custom Crop, and the Elks Club. He would also work for SRT and Northern Bottling Company. Dharold would finish his career working for USAF in Minot in the Missile Corrosion Control Department.

Dharold enjoyed woodworking, camping, hunting, fishing, motorcycling, and traveling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family

His loving family includes: wife of 56 years, Kathleen;

children, Kevin (Jeanne) Myers, Punta Gorda, FL, Valerie (Mark) Boespflug, Greeley, CO, Melissa (Perry) Rodriguez, Houston, TX, and Derek Myers, Las Vegas, NV;

grandchildren, Joe, Joshua, Cassondra, Jeremy, Tandra, Shalane, Zoe, Norah;

great-grandchildren, Weston, Wyatt, Iris, Bella, Theodore, and Mila;

brother, Ronald (Lil) Myers;

sister, Billie (Albert) Volk and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins Dharold was preceded in death by his parents; niece, Cherie Volk; and nephew, Frank Volk.

Memorial Service: Thursday, August 24, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Visitation: One hour prior to service at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to Wounded Warrior Project.
