Delores Baltrusch, 93 of Harvey died Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the St. Aloisius Hospital of Harvey. Funeral services will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church of Harvey on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey.

Delores L. Baltrusch passed away August 26, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born to John M. and A. Katherine (Hindahl) Bennetto on July 17, 1930.

She grew up on the family farm north of Bowdon, attended grade school at Bowman Consolidated School and high school in Bowdon, ND.

She obtained a teaching certificate from Valley City State Teachers College (now Valley City State University) and taught at Bowman Consolidated School and Bremen, ND for a total of three years.

She married Paul Baltrusch July 16, 1951. They farmed and made their home on her parents’ farm. They raised five sons: Glen, Terry, Gary, Bruce and Milo. She was active in church, teaching Sunday School, Bible School, singing in choir, and participating in ladies aid and circle. She was also active in the West Ontario Homemakers Club and Farmers Union.

She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Valley City in 1969. They moved to Harvey where she taught sixth grade for 23 years. She was active in church and children’s activities. She was a charter member of Lonetree Retired Teachers Unit, Red Hat Rovers and Faith Lutheran Church.

Delores is survived by sons Terry (Jolene), Gary (Glenda), Bruce (Dr. Michelle), Milo, foster daughter Heidi (Brent) Sabot, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, parents, parents-in-law, infant son David Allen, son Glen, daughter-in-law SanDee, and step grandsons Stacy and Brian Stoble, Jerome Porter and Micah Pinkney.
