Dean Iverson

May 15, 1944-July 30, 2023

Dean L. Iverson, 79, Bowbells, formerly of Tolley, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023, at his home.

Dean Loren Iverson was born May 15, 1944, the son of Lester and Leona (Schneiderman) Iverson in Kenmare. He was raised and educated in Tolley where he graduated from Tolley High School in 1961.

Following his graduation, Dean began his working career in Wahpeton, where he assisted local farmers with their operations. When the MAFB was being constructed, Dean worked in the construction field in the building of the missile sites and began farming on his own.

In 1986, Dean moved to Alaska, where he worked for a travel agent as a ticket courier. In 1994, he returned to Tolley where he farmed and worked alongside Roger Eide until retirement in 2021.

Dean enjoyed the outdoors farming, hunting, and fishing. He was an excellent storyteller, had extensive computer knowledge, and enjoyed playing cards.

His loving family includes children, Robert (Vanessa) Iverson and Deanna (Ron) Corey; four grandchildren, Kevin (Megan) Iverson, Kolby (Hannah) Iverson, Blake (Paige) Iverson, Kaylee (Brandon) Knutson; nine great-grandchildren, Aleena, Aireana, Lana, Daxton, Kade, Kora, Knox, Bexlee, Bailey; brother, Darrell (Shelly) Iverson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darvin Iverson and grandson, Dylan O’Brien.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal as cremation has taken place, however, friends may sign a guest register one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial Service: Friday, August 4, 2023, 11 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tolley. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Inurnment: McKinney Cemetery, Tolley.
