David Dale Voller passed away at his home in Covington, Washington on July 23, 2023.
After a brief illness, David’s brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews sadly said
good- bye. He was born on November 25, 1944, in Minot to the late Bennie and Wally Voller.
David graduated from Surrey School in Surrey in 1962 and enlisted in the Air Force that year. He was stationed mostly in Duluth, MN., until his discharge in 1966.
He remained supportive of Veterans for the remainder of his life.
David spent many years working as a welder in Seattle, Washington. He was an avid hunter and looked forward to hunting trips to the mountains of Eastern Washington each year. He made country German sausage using his dad’s recipe and shared it with his family and friends. He loved dill pickles and made a big batch each year, using his mom’s recipe which always had a little extra kick from the peppers he included. He had strong ties to his family, enjoyed attending family functions, David was close to his brothers and sisters and enjoyed participating in his nieces’ and nephews’ lives as they grew up. Throughout his lifetime, David remained a nice, kind and generous person who will be missed by those who loved him.
David is survived by his brothers Gabe (Margaret Anne) Voller and Daniel (Thelma) Voller and his sisters, Eleanora (Voller) Barth, Bernice Voller and Glenda Voller. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great, nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by parents, Bennie and Wally Voller, Tillie (Voller) Reinier (2017) sister and George Voller (2013) brother.
A memorial service will be held August 12, 2023, at 2 p.m. St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 25810 – 156th Avenue SE, Covington, WA 98042.
