Barry Henderson

Sept. 26, 1952-July 31, 2023

Minot

Barry Keith Henderson, 70, Minot, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, at Trinity Hospital, joining his parents and two infant brothers in his new eternal home.

Barry Keith Henderson was born September 26, 1952, the middle son of Keith and Shirley (Getchell) Henderson, in Minot. He grew up on their family farm between Antler and Sherwood, with his three brothers and two sisters.

The family later moved to Westhope, where Barry attended high school. He was very athletic and enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and football during his school years.

In April of 1972, Barry joined the United States Marine Corps, along with his older brother, Don. He was proud to be a marine and to serve his country. He was stationed in Okinawa and then 29 Palms, CA, until his medical discharge.

After his return from the service, Barry worked for Case IH as a setup mechanic and later moved into sales. He won several prestigious awards in his years as a salesman, but never forgot how he started. He was always willing to help service his customers’ equipment, and this earned him a great reputation in the business, where he made many lifelong friends.

In 1998, Barry was involved in a very serious snowmobile accident. Although he survived, his life was never the same again. Because of the debilitating injuries he received, he was forced into early retirement. He continued to work in his garden, on his yard, and tinker in his garage. He loved to keep busy!

Barry deeply loved his family. He is survived by his three children, Veronica (Wes) Corwin and their five children, Jason (Olivia) Henderson and their three children, Jarrod Henderson and his two sons; his wife, Deb, two stepchildren, three step grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild; siblings, Ken (Tudi) Henderson, Don (Dawn) Henderson, Barb (Joe) Rosinski, Tom Henderson, Mary Henderson Driggers, and numerous nieces, nephews , great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Shirley, two infant brothers, Stanley and Timothy; and all his maternal and paternal grandparents.
