Trinity steps up recruiting in dermatology
Trinity Health says it has stepped up its recruitment efforts for a board-certified dermatologist with the anticipated departure of its lone dermatologist this fall.
At one time, Trinity had more than one physician in dermatology, which has been a difficult field for recruitment due to a general shortage of providers in the specialty.
Trinity issued a statement noting that it is fortunate to have the continued expertise and dedication of Ann Welch and Chantel Hillestad, both family nurse practitioners in the dermatology department. Welch has been with the department since 2006 while Hillestad is a more recent addition.
“Many primary care providers within our system are also proficient in diagnosing basic dermatology conditions and should be your first consideration when seeking treatment for a new condition,” Trinity stated.
Trinity recently added three new primary care providers: Dr. Ahmed Iraqi, Stacey Peterson FNP-C, and Megan Miller, FNP-C. Patients seeking information on available providers and specialties may contact Trinity’s 857- DR4U line.
