Rachel Hanson

Rachel M. Hanson, age 88, of Spokane, WA died Tuesday, June 20, 2023, while visiting her family in Vancouver, WA. Rachel was born April 20, 1935, in Minot, ND to Deodor and Selma (Ronshaugen) Langseth. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Hanson, daughter Rebecca Grothaus, parents Deodor and Selma; brothers Duane, Devane, Garvin, Lance and Sandy; sisters Suellen Geyer and Greta Langseth. Survived by grandsons Casey (Katie) Grothaus, Matthew Grothaus, Garett Grothaus; son in law Dennis Grothaus; sisters Sharon Kimball, Vivian Zuckerman, Nancy (Jack) LaDoucer and Doretta (Rick) Voight; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. After her husband and daughter passed, Rachel’s focus was totally on her grandsons. She was so proud of each of them. For Rachel love of family was so important, she took many a road trip with the goal of visiting as many as she could.
