Peggy McIlroy, 81, Minot, passed away on July 4, 2023, in her home.

Peggy was born on December 18, 1941, to Basil and Dorothy O’Connell and was raised in Glenburn. In 1960, she married Carl McIlroy, they had three children. They lived in Glenburn for many years and later moved to Minot where they worked at Dakota Terrace Apartments.

Peggy was a kind, compassionate woman who dedicated her life to helping others. She was very artistic and loved to do crafts, sew, paint and create flower gardens.

She is survived by her husband Carl, son Tom, daughter Nancy (Kirk Johnson), grandchildren Micah and Joshua, her sisters Joyce DuPay, Mary Ann Zwinger (Duane), brothers Larry (Debbie) O’Connell, Gary (Jan) O’Connell, David (Ann) O’Connell and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Dennis, Nell and Dean McIlroy, Joyce McGlenn, Jean Paulson and Mike DuPay.
