Denise Joy Hovda was born March 1, 1983, the daughter of Roger and Diane (Maurer) Hovda, sister of Brandon, in Minot. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Parshall.

Denise married Mike on September 1, 2018. They made their home in Minot. From this union she gained a daughter, Marie.

She loved and enjoyed many things such as animals, glass art, and riding motorcycles.

Her loving family includes: husband, Mike, Minot; daughter, Marie, Minot; parents Roger and Diane Hovda, Parshall; brother, Brandon (Tara) Hovda, Bismarck; parents in-law Tim and Sherri Marquart, Las Vegas; sister in-law, Crystal (Michael) Rubie, Las Vegas; aunts and uncles, Daphne Maurer, Guy Maurer, Amy (Pius Volk) Maurer, Marlene Hovda, Marcia (Alan) Lerberg, Richard ( Diane Hartman) Ruud, Steve (Karen) Ruud, Dianne (Marlyn) Matzke, Ken (Linda) Ruud; many cousins, and special friends Joy Ruud and Jenn Carlson.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arnold and Darlene Maurer, George and Doris Ruud; aunt, JoAnn Ruud; cousins, Brittney Olson, Weston Hove, Alex Ruud and Garrett Hoelscher; her loving protector, Murphy the chocolate lab.

At Denise’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
