Arlo Helm, 75, Harvey, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 17, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church, Harvey. Visitation begins Sunday at 5 p.m. followed by a public prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey.

Arlo Joel Helm was born in Harvey, on January 17, 1948, to Robert and Lillian (Liebelt) Helm. Arlo married Kathy Mehlhouse on March 26, 1973, and made their home in Martin and Harvey. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy; Son, Jason, wife Chloe Helm and daughter Jenny (Keith Hegney) Johns; two honorary children, Paige Helm and Dalton (Sarah) Helm; seven gorgeous grandchildren, Jackson, Morgan, Stella, Gavyn, Bekum, Brinley, and RJ; two sisters, Janice Kesler and Jeanette Weltz; several nieces and nephews; even more great nieces and nephews; and an insurmountable number of best friends. Arlo was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lillian Helm; father-in-law, Ralph Mehlhouse, two brothers, Larry and Robert, sister Kathy Degenstein, brothers-in-law, Jim Kesler, Marvin Mehlhouse, Jerry Weltz and Leon Degenstein.
