Theodore E, Bristol, 76, Minot, died Friday, June 9, 2023, in a Minot hospital with his family by his side.

Theodore “Ted” Eric Bristol was born on May 1, 1947, a son of Theodore and Ellen (Decker) Bristol in Eckman, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot, attending Minot Public Schools.

On July 13, 1967, Ted enlisted into the United States Army. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict and was honorably discharge on July 11, 1969.

Ted was once married to Linda Julson. To this union a son Jamie was born. The couple later divorced.

Ted worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad. He worked in various capacities, retiring as a switchman in 2010.

On June 27, 2016, Ted was united in marriage to his life-long partner Ellen Culbertson. They made their home in Minot.

He enjoyed reading science fiction, performing mechanic work on vehicles, and spending time with his family.

Ted is survived by: his wife, Ellen Culbertson; children: Jaime Bristol; Chad Reinhardt, Alan Marmon, Dannielle Reinhardt; six grandchildren: Gavin, Gabriella, Ashton, Madison, Anna, and Jasmine; three siblings; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters.

Visitation: There will be no reviewal as cremation has taken place, however, friends may sign a guest register on Saturday, June 17, 2023, one hour prior to the service.

Memorial Service: Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Burial: A private family burial will take place.
