Lilah Diederich, 72, Minot, died Wednesday, June 7, 2023 in her home.

Lilah was born on January 15, 1951, in Fort Madison, Iowa to Tom and Charlotte (Senef) Six. She

was raised and educated in Garrison, graduating from Garrison High School in 1969. After

graduating she was employed as a cook and barmaid in the Minot area.

On June 25, 1983, Lilah married Donald “Butch” Charles Diederich Jr. at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Minot. The couple made their home in Minot where they raised two children, Jackie and Lonnie. One of Lilah’s fondest memories was graduating college the same year her daughter graduated high school. She was an administrative assistant for the nursing program at MSU for 25 years and Help Desk Coordinator at ITC. She retired in May of 2014.

Lilah attended Congregational United Church of Christ in Minot and was a passionate volunteer for athletic events at MSU, the soup kitchen and at the zoo. She enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, reading, fishing, and everyone enjoyed her potato salad.

Lilah is survived by her husband of 40 years, Butch; children, Jackie Sue (Aric) Thorstad,

Williston, and Lonnie (Jessica) Diederich, Beulah; grandchildren, Grady (Shelly), Garrett,

Aaron (Taylor), Drake and Drew; great grandchildren, Pheadrah, Autumn, AnnaLynn, Grady II,

Phoenix, and Greysen; sister and brothers-in-law, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Oscar and Jerry; in laws Don Sr.,Lorraine, brother-in-law Delane.

Memorial Service: Monday, June 12, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Eagle’s Wings Community Fellowship,

Minot officiated by Pastor Travis Hovde.
