LeRoy William Giese, 77, of Max, died Monday, February 6, 2023, at Western Home Communities Martin Suites in Cedar Falls. He was born February 14, 1945, in Minot, the son of Herbert and Clara (Schmidt) Giese. He graduated from Max High School in North Dakota in 1963, then attended Dakota College in Bottineau for forestry. He worked as a farmer, growing crops and raising cattle. On October 8, 1977, he was united in marriage to Margaret Richeson in Max. LeRoy is survived by his wife, Margaret of Max; daughters, Greta (Jerry) Hoalt of Waterloo and Bekki (Bradley) Martin of Waverly; grandchildren: Teresa Hoalt, and Lincoln and Nova Martin; and sister, LaVera (James) Cooke of Garrison. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Max.
