Julia Lenertz

Julia Lenertz, age 94, died peacefully Friday morning, June 23, 2023, at Little Sisters of the Poor in St. Paul. She was surrounded by family. Julia was born near Karlsruhe on December 23, 1928, to Stephen and Elizabeth Kremer. On July 22, 1947, she married Anton Lenertz. Together, they had nine children. In 1975, they retired from farming and moved to Minot. After Anton’s death in 1994, she lived as a widow in Minot, before moving to West St. Paul, Minnesota. Three years ago, she moved to Little Sisters, where she received excellent care until the time of her death. Julia is survived by her children: James (Linda), Marie Sears (Gene), Kathy Neumann, Terry (Joanne), Sandi Lenertz, Roger (Ann), Ginney Wynne (Mark), Charles, Kristie Scott (Mike); eighteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, June 28, 12 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in West St. Paul, MN, with visitation one hour prior. There will be a 10:30 a.m. prayer service on Friday, June 30th at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Minot, followed by the burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Paul, Minnesota.
