Ardell Berg, 91, Minot, ND, formerly of Donnybrook, ND, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, at Edgewood Vista.

Ardell June St. Croix was born June 14, 1931, the daughter of Norman and Mae (Petersen) St. Croix, north of Norma, ND, where she was raised and educated.

Ardell married Allen Berg on November 13, 1951. The Berg’s began their life together in Minot, but fate soon found them farming south of Coulee, ND. It was there they were blessed with four children, Harlen, Duane, Loren and Debra.

In 1968, they moved their family to Burien (Seattle), Washington. Ardell and Allen resided there until retirement. The summers would find them living in their camping trailer in Kenmare, ND. They did this for several years before purchasing a home in Donnybrook, ND. Allen passed away August 13, 2000.

She continued to live in Donnybrook, moving to Edgewood Vista in the spring of 2019.

Ardell took pride in being a homemaker. She was a very good cook and baker. She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards and watching her special television shows.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Donnybrook and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Her loving family includes: Sons, Harlan Berg, Minot, and Duane (Faye) Berg, Tucson, AZ; Daughter, Debra Kurvink, Federal Way, WA; Grandchildren, Crystal (Harley) Davidson, Bonney Lake, WA, Brenda Berg, Bonney Lake, WA, Gabriel (Susan) White, Sterling, KS, Loren (Tiffany) Berg, Jr., Bismarck, Angelique (Tony Decoteau) Belgarde, Minot, Matthew (Teresa) Kurvink, Federal Way, WA, Kristin (Marino Maldonado) Kurvink, Des Moines, WA, and Briana Berg, San Diego, CA; Great-grandchildren, Dillon (Courtney) Davidson and Kyle Davidson, Quentin, Makayla, Juliana Berg, Elljay Berg, William Kurvink, Felicia Ruiz Maldonado, Erik Kurvink, Austin (Cassandra) Meyhoff, Michael Meyhoff, Haley (Jadyn) Garcia, Tristan (Callie) White, Braden White, and Julian (Aurora) White; Great-great grandchildren, Zane Meyhoff, Athena Garcia, baby Garcia coming November 2023, Ezekiel and Elana, Kyomi, Zander White and baby White coming early June 2023, Adriana White, Keylee White and Leo White; Sister, Marge Rogers, Bismarck; Sister-in-law, Beverly St. Croix, Fort Collins, CO; a very special friend, MaDonna Ennis, Williston; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, son, Loren Berg, Sr.; son-in-law, William Kurvink; Brothers, Lloyd St. Croix and Lee St. Croix: sisters, Laura (Ray) Lindblad, Dorothy (Virgil) Nelson, Ramona (Sherman) Brandt; brother-in-law, Merlin Rogers; niece, Darla Erdman; nephews, William Kalmbach, Virgil ‘Kelly’ Nelson; great-niece, Joann Jessen; great-nephew, Trevor Waters; and a nephew-in-law, Robert Romano.

Burial: Saturday, June 10, 2023, 12p.m. at Rosehill Cemetery, Stafford Township, Norma, ND.
