Agnes Roder, 84, Drake, North Dakota, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at St. Aloisius Nursing Home, Harvey, North Dakota. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 26, 2023, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Drake, North Dakota. Fr. Thomas Graner will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with a rosary at 9:45 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Home, Drake, North Dakota.

Agnes Ludwig was born December 20, 1938, in rural McHenry County, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Degenstein) Ludwig. She grew up near Drake and attended country school. She married Delmer Roder on April 29, 1957, in Harvey, North Dakota. They moved to Fargo for a short time and later to Oregon. They returned to North Dakota in 1962 and took over the Roder farm south of Drake. Agnes and Delmer continued to farm and raise their family until they retired in 1990. They remained on the farm until 1996 when they moved into Drake. While living in Drake, Agnes worked at the Creamery and the grocery store.

Agnes was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Drake.

Agnes is survived by her children, James (Devonne) Roder, Drake, Diane (Mark) Kolschefsky, Drake, and Keith (Jane) Roder, Surrey, ND; siblings, Daniel Ludwig, Drake, Jenny (Gary) Deslaurs, Minot, Florence (Kenneth) Bruner, Drake, Betty (Henry) Lemar, Minot, and Richard Ludwig, Bismarck; also eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Eugene, and two sisters-in-law, Adeline Ludwig and Niela Rae Ludwig.
