Lance Peterson, 55, Minot, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 28, 2023, at his home.

Lance Roy Peterson was born July 2, 1967, along with his twin sister Lynell to August and Judith (Huettl) Peterson in Minot, ND. He was raised and educated in Minot, where he graduated from Minot High School in 1986.

Following graduation, Lance went to work in Max, ND, for area farmers, where he was able to use his mechanic skills. This led him to Johnson Chevrolet in Lansford, ND, where he worked for several years.

In 1992, Lance was united in marriage to Jane Christianson. The couple was blessed with their daughter, Brandy. The couple later divorced.

For the past several years Lance has lived in the Minot area, where he worked for Tires Plus as a mechanic. He truly enjoyed the time spent with his customers and coworkers.

Lance was an avid race fan, and spent many summers volunteering at the Nodak Speedway. He also enjoyed watching his favorite animal, the Majestic Bald Eagle, and hunting.

Lance is survived by his daughter, Brandy (Tim) Peterson, a granddaughter Ameylia; siblings, Lynell Peterson and Kevin Peterson; companion, Dawn Christensen and her family; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Dani.

Memorial Service: Wednesday, May 10, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.
