Juanita Mobley, 80, Minot, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 in her home.

Juanita was born on April 27, 1942 in Rugby to Johannes and Alice (Friet) Hannesson. She was raised in Bantry and graduated from Upham High School in 1960. Juanita furthered her education at Minot State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s in education. Juanita briefly worked as a teacher in the Minot Public Schools before transitioning full time into a gardener selling produce at farmer’s markets and to the general public.

On April 27, 1963, Juanita was united in marriage to Michael Mobley. From this union there would be three children, Christopher, Patrick, and Jennifer. Michael passed away in 2016.

Juanita is survived by her children; Christopher (Marcie), Patrick (Nicole), and Jennifer Mobley; grandchildren, Hailey, Isaac, Kieryn, and Liam Mobley, and Julian Bell; sisters, Josie Pfau and Florence (Harvey) Herslip; and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Marino and Victor Hannesson; and sisters, Vilborg Bond, Snjolaug Torr, Helga Black, Jan Higgins, Kristine Schmitz, Mary Anderson, and Anna Lampoltshamer.

Celebration of Life Service: Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 9 a.m. at the Carnegie Center, Minot.

Burial at Rosehill Memorial Park in Minot.
