Viola Latendresse

Bismarck

Viola Rose Latendresse was born on January 2, 1932 to Calmer and Anna (Rice) Braaten in Russell, ND. She died on Tuesday April 11, 2023 at Missouri Slope Nursing Home in Bismarck.

Viola was the eldest daughter of a family of 12 children and raised in Upham. Viola married Leo Latendresse on November 9, 1950. Leo died in 2007.

Viola is survived by her children, Donna (Norm) Sharette, Globe, AZ, Loela “Lee” (Dennis) Helmers, Bismarck, Judy (Lonnie) Zahn, Hazen, Wayne (Myrna) Latendresse, Towner, Betty (Craig) Keller, Upham, Kitty (Bryan) Holen, Hazen; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; siblings, Mary LaFontaine, Minot, Leo Braaten, Great Falls, MT; sister in law, Maralyn Braaten, Minot.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 16 at New Hope Lutheran Church in Upham with burial in the spring in the Bloomfield Cemetery, Upham.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the time of services at the church on Sunday.
