John Peter Jacobson passed away in Gold Canyon, AZ on Monday, April 10, 2023. John was born in Noonan ND to Harvey & Olga Jacobson on February 24, 1944. John graduated from Crosby High School and then attended two years of diesel mechanics in Wahpeton ND. After trade school he married Marilyn Marie Miller in July of 1966. They made their home on the Jacobson farm east of Crosby where they raised two children, Jonathan and Andrea. After decades of farming, John went to work for Divide County Road Department. After retirement John and Marilyn spent their summers in ND and escaped the cold ND winters to AZ. Dad was kind, patient and loving and taken from us way too soon.

John is survived by Jonathan Jacobson and daughter Maya, Andrea/Greg Larson and children Nicole and Austin, sister Barbara Kroshus, brother in law Blaine Miller, sister in laws Karla Dosch and Colette Bauer, and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, and parents Harvey and Olga Jacobson.

A family service will be held at 7 pm at Stakston-Martin Funeral Home on Friday April 21, 2023. Funeral service will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church, Crosby ND at 11 am on Saturday April 22, 2023. Interment will be at Long Creek Cemetery following fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be welcomed to the Long Creek Cemetery Fund or an organization of your choosing.
