Joslyn Smolka, 68, Minot, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at a Minot hospital.

Joslyn was born on March 11, 1955, in Demming, NM, to James and Dorothy (McGuire) Jackson. She was raised and educated in Demming. On November 22, 1991, Joslyn married Jeffrey Smolka.

Joslyn worked as a cashier and server for several companies in her career, most notably Kmart, McDonalds, and Applebee’s. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and cooking for her family. Joslyn will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Joslyn is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; mother, Dorothy; sons, Ridge and John; daughters, Estoria (Tori), Charlotte (Charlie), and Caren; 14 grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father; a son, Chuck; and three granddaughters, two named Elizabeth and one Angel.
