Curtis Robert Hahn, 86, Minot, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at a Bismarck hospital.
Curtis was born on September 20, 1936 in Bottineau, ND to Robert and Caroline (Getzlaff) Hahn. He was raised and educated in Gardena, ND.
On November 10, 1956, Curtis was united in marriage to Betty Koster in Gardena. The couple moved to Minot in 1959 when Curtis began attending business college. The couple would have 5 children together.
In 1980, they moved to Williston, ND, where Curtis would eventually retire as bulk plant manager from Dowell Schlumberger. After retirement, Curtis and Betty returned to Minot where they continue to reside.
Curtis enjoyed spending time with his family, playing cards and games, camping, and hunting in his younger days. He was a dedicated worker who always provided well for his family. He was an excellent dance partner and he and Betty were a couple to watch on the dance floor. Curtis will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Betty; children, Rick Hahn, Minot, Deanna Dammen, Fargo, ND, Rob (Michelle) and Dan Hahn, both of Fountain Hills, AZ, and Heidi (Mitch) Griess, Bismarck, ND; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry (Rhonda) Hahn, Eugene, OR, Donna (David) Reinholz, Willow City, ND, Brad (Faith) Hahn, Turtle Lake, ND, Greg Hahn, Minot, and Brenda (Terry) Holsten, Minot;;and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Minot. The service will be livestreamed for the public to view and can be accessed by going to Thompson-Larson Funeral Home’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@thompson-larsonfuneralhome3198.
