Chris J. Carlson, 42, Minot, ND, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2023 at his residence.

Chris was born on May 9, 1980, the son of Brian Carlson and Paulette (Hotten) Carlson in Jamestown, ND. He moved with his family to Minot, ND in 1990, where he attended school and later attended and graduated from Wisconsin Tech.

Chris was an avid Denver Broncos fan and loved watching sports and movies, and spending time gaming with his nieces and nephew. He also loved fishing and going on walks while listening to his music.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Sierra Carlson; mother and step-father, Paulette and David Wald; sisters, Krystal (Nate) Moline, Darci Visocsky and Leanna Simonson; brother, Stacey (Lacey) Orr; step-sisters, Tanya (Robert) Wald, Tasha (Brad) Rauchman and Ashley Wald; several nieces, nephews and one great-nephew also survive.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Brian Carlson; brother-in-law, Chris Visocsky; grandparents, several aunts and uncles; and his step-nephew.

Memorial Service: Friday, March 31, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Minot.

Inurnment: Chris will be laid to rest at the Rosehill Memorial Park Columbarium following the service.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials made in Chris’s honor to the American Diabetes Foundation.
