Brendon Lausch, 69, of Brooksville, FL passed away March 11, 2023. Brendon was born October 16, 1953 in Carrington, ND to Walter and Joyce (Heiden) Lausch. He attended school in Carrington and graduated in 1971.

Brendon joined the Air Force after graduation and completed a 20 year career, retiring July 31, 1991. While in the Air Force, he was stationed in NE, Germany, MS, and ND. Brendon completed an Associate Degree in Instructional Technologies, Bachelor of Science Degree, with a concentration in Psychology and Sociology, and a Master’s Degree in Administration while in the Air Force. Brendon was proud to have served his country and later started working for the Air Force as a civil servant. He had assignments at Minot AFB, ND; Robins AFB, GA; and Randolph AFB, TX. On December 31, 2015 Brendon retired after a distinguished 22 year civil service career, as a Community Readiness Analyst at Randolph AFB, TX. Brendon then moved to the sunshine state of Florida to enjoy his well-deserved retirement.

Brendon was an avid hunter and fisherman, with many mounts to prove it. Brendon’s love for sports continued into adulthood as he officiated high school football and basketball, intramural softball, and flag football. Brendon was an ASA Softball Umpire and officiated numerous Sam McQuade, Sr. Charity Softball Tournaments, 2 Dakota Regional Softball Tournaments, and 3 National Championship Tournaments. He was active in the adult softball program in Minot, ND as a player until he became an umpire, so he could stay involved in a sport he truly loved.

Brendon was once married to Susan (Roller) Selle. They were the parents of Rachel and Jacqueline and made their home in Minot.

Brendon is survived by his daughters, Rachel (Ashley) Iverson, Jackie Lausch (Bill Sanders) both of Minot; step-mother, Donna Rae Lausch, Minot; aunt, Barb Martin, Heaton; sister, Chris (Peter) Roller, Jamestown; brother, Jim (Paula) Lausch, Jamestown; three grandchildren, Regaen, Dillyn, and Jacob, Minot; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brendon was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and two brothers.

A spring service will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Mandan, ND; details to follow.
