Tonya Kellenberger, 49, Tolley, ND, died Saturday, February 4, 2023 in a Minot hospital.

Tonya Rochelle Mau was born on January 4, 1974, the daughter of Ernest and Sharon “Briggs” Mau in Minot, ND. She was raised on the Mau Ranch alongside her brothers Tim and Tom. She attended elementary school at Tolley, ND, and graduated from Kenmare High School in 1992. She furthered her education by attending Bismarck State College and Minot State University.

She also worked alongside of her parents and brothers at the ranch, where they raised Elk, small grains and had a cattle feedlot.

On June 20, 2009, Tonya was united in marriage to Bryan Kellenberger. They made their home in Tolley, where they raised their sons Jentz and Ryal. In addition, Tonya worked as a lab tech at the Kenmare Hospital.

Tonya was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Donnybrook, ND until its closure, and served on the Kenmare School Board. She enjoyed hunting, spending time in the boat on the water, family trips, attending rodeos with her brothers and most of all her family and friends at Mouse River Park.

Tonya is survived by:

Husband Bryan: Two sons Jentz and Ryal;

Brothers Tim (Lori Duvall) Mau and Tom (Debbie Iglehart) Mau;

nieces and nephews: Tayler and Caden Mau, Tayten Reid and Harley Mau;

uncle and aunts: Bob (Diann) Briggs; Thelma Zietz; several cousins also survive,

Tonya was preceded in death by her parents, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Private family service will take place at St. Agnes Catholic Church.

A public memorial gathering will take place Saturday at NOON until 3pm at Tolley Fire Hall, Tolley, ND.

Burial: Will take place in the spring of 2023 at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Tolley, ND
