Vera Auch, 96, of Minot, formerly of Parshall went to her eternal home on January 8, 2023.

Vera Wutzke was born June 7, 1926, to Ferdinand and Emilie (Engelhardt) Wutzke on the family farm southeast of Parshall, North Dakota. She was raised and attended school in Cremerville Township through the 5th grade and later moved to Garrison where she completed her education and met and married her husband, Alex. They moved back to her family farm, rural Parshall, where they resided until 1982 when they moved to Minot. Alex died in 1993 and Vera continued living in Minot.

In 2011, Vera moved into a condo at The View in Minot and thoroughly enjoyed condo life there, where she met and made new friends. There were some close “farm” friends from the Parshall area that also lived there making it even more enjoyable. She moved into an apartment at the Elison in Minot in 2020 until her passing.

One of Vera’s greatest joys in life was spending time with her family and friends and enjoying life to the fullest. She had a quick smile and an ever-present sense of humor. She was a caring person who left a legacy of love, laughter and happy times as memories for her family.

She was the last remaining member of her family.

She is survived by her children: Steve (Sharon) Auch, Eureka, NV, Terry (Clareen) Auch, Minot, ND, Greg (Patty) Auch, Boise, ID, Rob (Diana) Auch, Bismarck, ND and Barb (Randy) Myers, Parshall, ND; grandchildren: Josh Auch, Eureka, NV, Jeremy (Chanlie) Auch, Eureka, NV, Kara (Mike) Carlson, Overland Park, KS, Dustin (Allison) Auch, Minot, ND, Alisha (Adam) Sekellick, Reno, NV, Austin Auch, San Diego, CA, Justin (Andrea) Auch, Grand Forks, ND, KayCee (Mel) Klimpel, Minot, ND, Chelsey (Jason) Fish, Sheridan WY, Jared (Shannon) Auch, Bismarck, ND, Summer van Rooyen, Minot, ND, Brianna Myers, Bakersfield, CA, Whitney Myers, Fargo, ND; 25 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Thompson, Garrison, ND; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alex; and three brothers, Herb, Al and Ervin Wutzke

Funeral: Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. at The Journey Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Memorials: are preferred to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the donor’s choice.
