MaryLou Ronglien

MaryLou Ronglien, 80, of Florence, Ariz., formally of Minot, ND, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at her home in Ariz.

MaryLou was born Dec. 27, 1941 in Rugby, ND. She was the daughter of Mike D. and Stella (Ehli) Volk.

She grew up on her family’s farm in Towner, ND., and graduated from Minot High School in 1959.

On Nov. 3, 1960, she married Donald Ronglien, at St. Anselm’s Catholic Church in Berwick, ND. Together, the couple raised their five children while living in Minot. MaryLou had several jobs but, her in home cake decorating and misc. baking were her specialty.

MaryLou is survived by her husband, Don, of 62 years, her children; Roxanne (Ron) Klein of Minot, Teri of Bismarck, Scott of Minot, Melissa (Denis) Mohn of Bismarck, and Jason of Flornence, Ariz. Her Brothers; Harlan (Sandy) of Casselton, Danny (Elaine) of Casselton, Terry (Betty Hubrig) of Minot. Brother-in-law; George Meyer of Minot.

Grandchildren; Kacie Klein, Leisha Esterby and Justin Ronglien, Christopher Malmstead, Alexis Binstock, Jenna Gader, and Joe Malmstead. Great Grandchildren; Marli and Paityn Burnett, Morgan Houn Jack and Greyson Binstock, Gwinevere Gader, and Kaden and Tatum Malmstead.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Della Mae Pederson, and Geri Meyer and her brother-in-law Kenny Pederson.

A celebration of life memorial for MaryLou was held in Mesa, Ariz., on Jan. 2, 2023.
