Maria Rozo-Walker, 59, Minot, formerly of Colombia, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at her home.

Maria was born on August 29, 1963 in Bogota, Colombia to Guillermo Rozo Rueda and Elvira Montejo Candro. She was raised and educated in Colombia. In the fall of 1991, Maria moved to Minnesota to attend St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN. It was there in 1992 that she met the love of her life, Wade Walker. The couple were married on August 21, 1993 in Bogota. They would have three children, Francesca, Tatiana, and William.

Maria was proud of her Colombian heritage. She enjoyed passing her cultural traditions on to her daughters and sharing them with others. Maria loved to keep in touch with her family back home via Facebook. She had strong family values and loved to support her children at sporting events.

Maria is survived by her husband, Wade; son, William; daughters, Francesca (Ivan) Rozo-Gorbantenko and Tatiana; sisters, Carmen (Salomon), Patricia (Carlos), Beatrice (Jim), Julia (Oscar), Elvira (Alfredo), and Fernanda (Carlos); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Guillermo.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the West Minot Church of God in Minot. The service will be livestreamed for the public to view and can be accessed by going to https://bit.ly/3qXP5Jo. Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the service.
