JoAnna Dahly, 82, was a beloved great grandmother, grandmother, mother, wife, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

JoAnna was born on January 5, 1941, in Eureka, SD to William and Frieda (Sailer) Kuehl. The third of four children.

On March 23, 1958, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Orville Dahly, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot. JoAnna and Orville were blessed with four children, Tim, Terry, Tyrone and Tawnja.

Most of her life was spent serving others in the hospitality service as a waitress at Sheraton Riverside and Field and Stream. The hobbies she enjoyed were sewing, quilting and gardening. Her greatest joy was spending time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and was very proud of all their accomplishments.

JoAnna will be greatly missed by her family and friends. While everyone will be missing her there is comfort in knowing she is finally resting after a lifetime of hard work.

JoAnna was preceded in death by her husband, Orville; parents, William and Frieda Kuehl; brothers, DeWaine and Allen Kuehl; and grandson, Dustin Dahly.

JoAnna is survived by her children, Tim (Ceil) Dahly, Terry Dahly, Tyrone (Pamela) Dahly, Tawnja (Jedd) Boyce; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Dianna (Paul) Schmidt.

Funeral: Monday, January 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
