Dr. William Alexander Lee

Dr. William A. Lee passed away December 19th at his home in Florida. He was born, raised, and married in Virden, Manitoba, Canada. After graduating from the Manitoba School of Medicine, Dr. Lee completed his residency in ophthalmology in Minneapolis, MN. In 1971, Dr. Lee and his family moved to Minot where he joined the Minot Eye Ear Nose and Throat Clinic. He joined the Medical Arts Clinic in 1992 and retired in 1997.
While Dr. Lee was in practice, he served as secretary of the executive committee and chief of staff at Trinity Hospital, secretary and vice-president of the N.W. District Medical Society, and president of the N.D. Academy of Ophthalmology. He was also a full professor at the N.D. School of Medicine.
Upon retirement, Dr. and Mrs. Lee moved to Fleming Island, Florida, where he enjoyed golf and watching football on T.V. In the summer he loved long walks at their North Carolina mountain home.
Dr. Lee was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie. He is survived by his wife (Rose), son (Bill and his wife Cynthia), grandchildren (Brandon, Megan, and Sadie) and sisters (Mary McIntosh and Peggy Kelly).
