Larry Armstrong

Larry Ernest Armstrong, resident of Minneapolis MN passed away Monday, Nov. 7, 2022. Larry is preceded in death by brother Jerry, son Tyler and granddaughter Cara. He is survived by his sisters Cheryl Whitson and Geraldine Hotchkiss and their families, son Brooks and wife Nancy, son Corbin, his grandson Trevor and wife Stephanie and their three children, Freya, Byron and Robin as well as 30-year companion, Patricia Windsor. Larry was born in Mohall, N.D., July 7, 1936 to Ernest and Martha Armstrong. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from High School in Glenburn, ND in 1954. Larry married Aileen Gowin in 1955 and they had three children. He moved to Minneapolis with his family in 1963 and proudly served on the Minneapolis Police Dept. for more than ten years. Larry’s lifelong passion was baseball, playing on a major league farm team and then later coaching youth in the Babe Ruth baseball league. As per his wishes, his body was donated to the U of M Medical School.
