Sharon Kay Nelson, 76,

Minot, formerly of Surrey,

ND, passed away on Mon-

day, September 26, 2022

in her home.

Sharon Kay Trimborn

was born July 4, 1946, a

daughter of Alfred and

Evelyn (Magnuson) Trim-

born in Minot, ND. She

was raised and educated

in Sawyer, ND.

On May 15, 1965,

Sharon was united in

marriage to Dalen Nelson

at St. Paul’s Lutheran

Church, Minot. They

made their home in Minot

for a time where Sharon

worked as a Nurse’s aid.

The family moved to

Surrey, ND, where they

raised their three

daughters Lolly, Lynae

and Taletta. In addition to

working as a nurse,

Sharon was a well-known

seamstress. This led her

to employment with

Northwest Fabrics and

Hancock Fabrics, where

she worked for a number

of years. She also worked

for most recently for


She was a charter

member of Hope Lutheran

Church, Surrey, ND,

where she was active

within the ladies’ quilting


Sharon enjoyed sewing,

quilting, making doll

houses and was active

with a bowling league.

She is survived by:

Sharon was preceded in

death by her parents, si-

blings Shirley Defeyter,

Allyn Trimborn and Mary

Lou Trimborn.
