Eva Deibert

Eva D. Deibert, 99 years, 8 months and 27 days, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, in her home with her loving family by her side in Velva, ND.
Eva D. Feist was born on February 2, 1923, near Karlsruhe, ND, a daughter of Frank and Catherine (Senger) Feist. She was raised and educated in the Verendrye area. Following her education, Eva worked for area farm families, and for a cookie factory in Fargo, ND.
On October 20, 1947, Eva was united in marriage to John Deibert at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Karlsruhe, ND. They made their home on the Deibert farm, where they raised their family, small grains, cattle and John’s horses. Following retirement, John and Eva moved to Velva and in June of 2010, into Valley View Manor in Velva. John died September 3, 2016. Eva continued to live at the Valley View Manor.
Eva was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Karlsruhe, and later Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Velva, where she was active with the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She was also active with the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Eva was an excellent baker, excelling in baking bread, buns and kuchen. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all that knew her.

Four children: Dale (Virginia) Deibert, rural Surrey, ND, Gary (Theresa ) Deibert, Surrey, Sharon (Bob) Huizenga, Glenburn, ND, and Arlene (Ernie-Dave) Brewer; seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Justin) Pool, Keith (Susan) Deibert, Kenneth (Cindy) Deibert, Scott (Debbie) Huizenga, Byron (Becky) Huizenga, Chad Brewer, Curtis (Nada) Brewer; ten great-grandchildren: Lennix Pool, Laynie (Joseph) Knipp, Chelsie (Mattie) Deibert-Schmidt, Kendrick Deibert, Haley Deibert, Tucker Deibert, Nicholas Huizenga, Abigail Huizenga, Mackenzie Huizenga and Ethan Lathrop; great-great grandchildren: Lilah Knipp and twin grandsons due in December; siblings: Richard Feist, Agnes Leier, Dottie Leier; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Anna Aberle, Kathryn Wald, Mary Roselli, Helen Feist, Emily Sederholm, Lynn Olge, Jean Williams, Ed Feist, Tony Feist, Paul Feist and Dan Feist.
Visitation: Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 10 am until service time at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Velva
