Donald Musch

June 21, 1965 – Sept. 30, 2022

Donald Peter Musch,

age 57, of Farmington

passed away peacefully

Friday, September 30,

2022.

Don was born on June

21, 1965, to his parents

Richard and Martha

(Sande) Musch in Minot,

North Dakota. He grew up

on a farm and was the

youngest of six kids. Don

learned to farm and hunt

from his dad, but gained

his exceptional cooking

and baking skills from his

mom. He attended high

school in Berthold, ND

where he was an Honor

Student, active in FFA,

and graduated in 1983. He

attended college at NDSU

before moving to the Twin

Cities metro area where

he met the love of his life,

Barb, in 1985. After get-

ting married in 1991, Don

and Barb spent time trav-

eling, trying new restau-

rants, and visiting family

and friends. Don loved his

job working for King

Technology. He enjoyed

fishing and hunting, and

was always up for an ad-

venture. He was an avid

Pinochle player with the

Musch family and always

looked forward to a poker

game with his buddies.

Most of all, he loved

spending time with his

many nieces, nephews,

and godchildren shooting

rockets, camping, carving

pumpkins, and teaching

them to drive. In 1998

Don was blessed to re-

ceive a donor organ from

his amazing niece,

Stephanie and routinely

bragged about his “blonde

kidney”.

Don was preceded in

death by his parents,

Richard and Martha

Musch; his oldest brother,

James Musch; mother-

in-law, Irma Carlson,

brother-in-law Glen Carl-

son, and nephew, Richard

Rose.

Don is survived by his

wife, Barb; sisters, Geri

Moeckel, Joan Musch, and

Susan Roise; brother,

Steve Musch; father-

in-law, Dick Carlson; and

numerous nieces, neph-

ews, godchildren,

cousins, and in-laws. A

Memorial Service will be

held on Friday, October 7,

2022 at 11:30 a.m. at

Starkson Family Life Cele-

bration Chapel, 3075 Ver-

million St. in Hastings. A

at the funeral home with a

lunch reception to follow

the service.
