Clifton Talley
Clifton Talley, 87, Vel-
va, ND, formerly of Minot
and Lansford, ND, passed
away Wednesday, October
12, 2022, in his home.
Clifton was born Febru-
ary 27, 1935, the son of
Walter and Marie (Mosolf)
Talley, in Minot. He was
raised and educated in
Lanford, ND, graduating
from Lansford High
School.
He married Kay Olurich
and to this union four
children were born, Clin-
ton, Leighann, Joe and Ka-
rin. He was to married to
Betty Erickson and to this
union one child was born,
Royce. He then married
Carol Fardon.
He farmed around the
Lansford area and was a
custom combiner. He also
drove truck for multiple
trucking companies. In
his younger years, he rode
horses with the Ghost
Riders.
Clifton was a member
of Christ Lutheran
Church, Moose Club, Elks
Club, Masonic Lodge, and
Sons of Norway.
He enjoyed playing pi-
nochle, water skiing, trav-
eling, watching the Min-
nesota Twins and Vikings
his two favorite teams and
keeping his yard nice.
Clifton was a hand-
worker and could be
found tinkering with dif-
ferent automobiles and
helping in the local com-
munities.
His loving family in-
cludes: Daughters,
Leighann (Luis) Douglas
and Karin (Peter) Meade;
Sons, Clinton, Joe (Marie)
and Royce (Krista) Talley;
6 grandchildren; 3 great-
grandchildren; Brothers,
Rolland and Denise Tal-
ley; Sister, Joan Meyer;
Sisters-in-law, Janice Tal-
ley, Linda Talley and Jane
Talley; and numerous
nieces, nephews and
cousins
He was preceded in
death by his parents; a
grandchild; brothers,
Manuel (Doris), Lavern
(Murial), Curtis and Jim
Talley; sister- in-law, Mar-
lyn Talley; brother-in-law,
Bob Meyer.
Funeral: Saturday, Oc-
tober 22, 2022, at 11 a.m.
at Christ Lutheran
Church, Minot, ND.
Interment: Sunset
Memorial Gardens, Minot,
ND.
Visitation: Friday, Oc-
tober 21, 22 from 5 to 7
p.m. at Thompson-Larson
