April 3, 1958-Sept. 11, 2022
Susan Gail (Fredrick-
son) Johnsrud, 64, of
Minot, ND joined Jesus on
Sunday, September 11,
2022 at Trinity Health in
Minot, ND. Fulkerson

She was born April 3,
1958, the first child of
Leslie and Rose (Brenno)
Fredrickson of Tioga. She
was baptized at Zion
Lutheran Church in
McGregor, ND and con-
firmed at First Lutheran
Church in Tioga, ND.
In 1976, Susan graduat-
ed from Tioga High
School and went on to at-
tend Williston College.
While at Williston Col-
lege, she met James
Johnsrud who she later
married in 1977. They
moved to Watford City,
ND and were blessed with
three sons: Ryan, Rory
and Garrett. Susan loved
being a mother and in-
stilled great family values
in her children. She was
very strong in her faith
and was active in the
choir at First Lutheran
Church in Watford City,
ND and enjoyed singing,
playing the bass guitar
and flute in Women’s
Aglow.
Susan worked many
jobs while the boys were
in school, ranging from
secretary at Co-Op
Lumber to running her
own daycare. No matter
the position she held, her
favorite job was managing
the family and creating a
home for her family and
sharing the love of Jesus.
She was caring and loving
with an interest in com-
puters, cooking, gardening
and especially her family.
In 1997, she took the posi-
tion of Assistant Director
at McKenzie County Tour-
ism Bureau. Working for
the Tourism Bureau
seemed to re-invigorate
