Lance Mogren
March 28, 1959-Sept. 5, 2022
Lance K. Mogren, 63,
Kenmare, ND, passed
away on Monday, Sep-
tember 5th, 2022 in a
Minot hospital.
Lance Kent Mogren was
born on March 28, 1959, a
son of Ival and Melba
Ruth (Schryver) Mogren,
in Kenmare, ND. He was
raised, as the youngest of
six, in Kenmare and later
moved out to the Mogren
family farm with his
parents. Lance was bap-
tized into the Lutheran
Faith at Elmdale Lutheran
Church and confirmed at
Nazareth Lutheran
Church in Kenmare.
Lance attended Kenmare
Public School and gra-
duated with the class of
1977. While in high
school, Lance was active
with the Kenmare Wrest-
ing team, and was State
Champion in 1976 and
1977. He furthered his
education by attending
Minot State University,
where he also participated
in wrestling.
He was once married to
Louise (Jensen) Mogren.
Together they had two
children, LaCee and Lee.
Lance worked various
jobs throughout his life-
time. He began working in
the oil fields of ND, until
1986, when he moved to
Colorado. There he
worked in the computer
industry and as a ware-
house manager. Lance
was a “jack-of-all-trades”
and excelled as the head
of maintenance within a
housing development. In
2010, Lance returned to
the Mogren family farm to
keep his mother company
and raise cattle. He retired
in 2022.
He enjoyed spending
time outdoors, long drives
down dirt roads, fishing,
hunting, and camping
with family and friends.
His three grandchildren
were very important to
him and he always en-
joyed spending time with
them. Whether it was
wrestling, butchering,
tinkering in the garage, or
playing games, he was
happy to have them by his
side. While in Colorado,
he was blessed with many
wonderful friends and
successful elk hunts.
Lance is survived by:

grandchildren, Izadore
“Ike” Cardenas, Myles
