in Minot, North Dakota.
He attended St Leo’s
Catholic School. He was
married to Alice Marie
Nichols June 25, 1959.
Through this union they
were blessed with four
children.
Don’s employment op-
portunities included
working for Burlington
Northern Railroad laying
and maintaining railroad
tracks. In 1956 he joined
the United States Army
and was stationed in Ger-
many for 2 ¢ years. After
the Army Don returned to
Minot, ND and worked as
a pin setter at a bowling
alley. He was employed
by Harry’s Tire Service,
he delivered milk for
Bridgeman Creamery and
worked as an in-state and
cross-country truck driver
with Kedney Moving and
Storage, eventually ad-
vancing in that business
as foreman. Don moved
his family to Sioux Falls,
South Dakota in July of
1976 to manage Kedney
Moving and Storage, an
affiliate of Allied Van
Lines. In the later 1980’s
he bought that business.
He loved his family and
helped many in time of
their need. While having a
quiet faith it was very im-

ily to attend Sunday Mass
and he was very involved
in the Knights of
Columbus in Minot and
became a Grand Knight in
the late 1970’s after mov-
ing to Sioux Falls. He was
also involved in ushering
and Eucharistic Ministry
through the Church. He
and Alice were active in
the South Dakota Corvette
Club. Together they
would host family, rela-
tives, and friends
