Jerry “Hoss” Erickson

Jerry Erickson, 69,

Minot, formerly of Ken-

mare, ND, passed away

Thursday, June 30, 2022

at Trinity Hospital in

Minot.

Jerry Leroy Erickson

was born November 19,

1952, the son of Joseph

and Harriet (Haugen)

Erickson, in Kenmare,

ND. He was raised on the

family farm located in

Spencer Township of

Ward County, rural Ken-

mare and educated in

Kenmare. He graduated

from Kenmare High

School in 1970. He was

baptized at Our Saviors

Lutheran Church in rural

Coulee and confirmed at

Nazareth Lutheran

Church in Kenmare. As a

young adult, he assisted

his parents with the

operation of the family

farm. He later helped a

few area farmers as well.

He worked various jobs

throughout his life which

included: working at

Farmers Union Cenex in

Kenmare, delivering the

newspaper to rural areas

for the Minot Daily News,

and working at the Ken-

mare Laundry.

He loved watching

sports. He enjoyed at-

tending local high school

sports in both Kenmare

and throughout the local

Minot area. He also en-

joyed playing darts.

His surviving family in-

cludes:

brother, Gary (Sharon)

Erickson; two sisters,

Adeline (Roger) Evans

and; Shirley (Larry) Oja

and three nieces: Laura

(Sean) Broderick, Joann

(Dave) Newfield, and

Donna (Clint) Ruden;

nephew Duane (Kelly)

Evans; and nine great

nieces and great nephews.

Jerry was preceded in

death by his parents; and

brother, Kenneth.

Memorial Service:

Thursday, July 7, 2022, at

10:30 a.m. at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home Chapel, Minot.

Interment: Our Savior

Cemetery, rural Coulee/

Kenaston, ND.
