Bill Nehring

Wm. (Bill) Nehring was
born in Kenmare, N.D. to
Galen and Mildred (John-
son) Nehring. He was
raised in Bowbells and
was baptized and con-
firmed in the Lutheran
faith at Bethlehem Luth-
eran Church. He graduat-
ed from Bowbells High
School in 1961. He at-
tended UND at Grand
Forks and after graduation
moved to Seattle, Wa. He
retired after 30 some years
from the U.S. Postal Ser-
vice.
Bill enjoyed camping
and fishing in his early
years. He was an avid
coin collector throughout
his life. He was also a
huge Elvis fan back in the
day and attended many
rock concerts when he
was younger and the
bands would visit Seattle.
Bill rode the AmTrak back
to N.D. every year on va-
cation to visit family and
friends until the last cou-
ple of years. He always
made sure he had plenty
of room in his luggage for
a good supply of lefse to
take back home to Seattle.
Bill was preceded in
death by his grand-
parents, parents, all of his
aunts and uncles, many
cousins and friends,
grandniece Lacey and
sister-in-law Judy.
Bill is survived by his
brother Jon, nieces Jacque
(Scott) Harvey, Jill (Tony)
Yocabet, nephew Jeff and
their children, grandchil-
dren and many cousins.
Two good buddies Kirby
and Dave in Seattle and
lifelong friend Willyard in
Bowbells.
Bill died peacefully in a
Seattle hospital. Crema-
tion has taken place and a
private service will be
held at a later date. Rest
in Peace Bill! Memorials
preferred to the Bowbells
Community Cemetery.
