Galen Halverson, 68,

New Town, died Satur-

day, May 14, 2022, at a

Bismarck hospital.

State School of Science in

mechanics before return-

Olson were united in mar-

riage. They made their

home on the Olson family

farm. Galen worked his

entire life in the oil patch

in Western North Dakota.

He started his career with

RA Prather and Sons, NL

Well Service, and was

currently employed with

Murex Petroleum. It was

hard work and he saw

many highs and lows

Galen loved his family

and grandchildren. They

enjoyed many summers at

their cabin at Van Hook

fishing,visiting, and cruis-

ing around in their golf

cart. He also enjoyed

working in his yard.

Galen also loved all an-

imals and had a few favor-

ite dogs, Zeus and Max.

He had a strong interest in

classic cars, which he also

collected, and he enjoyed

attending car shows. But

Sundays were reserved

for football! He was a

die-hard Vikings fan, even

through all the disap-

pointing seasons.

He was a lifelong

member of Bethel Luth-

eran Church where he

served as an usher. His

smile was often hidden by

his “handle-bar” mus-
