Beverly Loock
Dec. 3, 1940-May 4, 2022
Beverly J. Loock, 81,
Minot, formerly of
Parshall, passed away
Wednesday, May 4, 2022,
with her family at her
side, after a courageous
battle with cancer.
Beverly Joyce Hall was
born December 3, 1940, at
Elbowoods, ND, to Ed-
ward “Pem” and Ina
(Beauchamp) Hall. Bev’s
father died when she was
young. She attended
school at Lucky Mound
and in Benedict, ND
where her mother taught.
She was a cheerleader
while attending Parshall
high school where she
graduated in 1958.
On October 14, 1958,
Bev and Robert Loock
were married. Bob loving-
ly referred to Bev as
“Doll”. They made their
home in California for a
few years and then moved
back to North Dakota to
raise their family. They
were blessed with two
sons who both passed
away in infancy and three
daughters. Bob and Bev
welcomed and cared for
Bev’s mother, Ina, for
many years.
Bev was a hard worker.
She held a variety of jobs
throughout the years in-
cluding owning a drapery
company. She worked in
Land Management for the
BIA and as an aid at the
elementary school. During
the 1990s, they lived in
Fargo where she worked
as an administrative assis-
tant at NDSU for Minority
Student Affairs and Phar-
macy. When they re-
turned to Parshall, Bev
obtained her CDL and
drove the bus for Parshall
Headstart.
Bev was a strong advo-
cate for the community.
She was a member of the
United Church of Christ
in Parshall and the local
Jaycees; she also volun-
teered as a 4-H leader. Bev
was an excellent
homemaker and enjoyed
sewing and baking. Their
home was always open to
family and friends. She
was a keeper of her
family’s genealogy.
Bev cherished spending
time with her family. She
and Bob built three homes
together and enjoyed
sharing family time at
their Deep Water Bay ca-
bin. She was
health-conscious; she
remained active and prac-
ticed Yoga. She was very
involved in her
grandchildren’s lives and
was always their biggest
fan. Her kind smile and
loving heart have blessed
many and she will be tru-
ly missed.
Bev is survived by her
husband, Robert “Bob”
Loock; daughters and
