Edwin Anton Hoffart,

the son of Joseph and

Mary (Leier) Hoffart was

born on January 2, 1931 at

home on the family farm

south of Knox, North

Dakota. He died at the age

of 91 years on Tuesday

April 5, 2022 at Altru

Hospital in Grand Forks,

North Dakota.

Edwin was united in

marriage to Alvina Heil-

man October 5, 1954 in

Balta, North Dakota at

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel

Catholic Church.

Edwin is survived by

his five daughters,

Suzanne Legacie,

Tammy(Steve) Price,

Renae(Kevin) Larson,

Michelle(Raymond) Tol-

lerud, Chantel(Travis)

Hamilton; 5 Sons, Darrell,

Gary, Allan(Debbie),

Steven (Diane),

Kelly(Sheila); 15

grandchildren; 21 great-

grandchildren; Sisters,

Ann Hoffart, Beatrice

Schaan, Bertha(Ray)

Klein; Brothers, Nick,

Daniel, Albin and

Michael(Patti).

Edwin was preceded in

death by his wife Alvina;

son, David and his

parents.

Mass of Christian Burial

will be held Tuesday

April 12th at 10:30 a.m. at

St. Mary’s Catholic

Church in Knox with

burial to follow in the

church cemetery.

Visitation will be held

Monday April 11th from

5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with

Rosary and Vigil Prayer

Service beginning at 7:00

p.m. at the Anderson Fun-

eral Home in Rugby. Visi-

tation will continue 1

hour prior to the service

at the church.
